You are part of our growth! That’s why each month, we want to share our latest news with you!

Christmas turkey to fill our roaming 2017! As the end of year approaches, it is time to reflect on the evolution of Early Metrics. 2016 has been exceptional: the opening of the London and Tel Aviv offices, interviews with Business Insider, early call from Jean-Jacques Bourdin, 10+ new team members, a summer team building kayaking in France, some kayak-pirating and strong karting competition. The reception on both markets has been great from both the startup community as well as our clients. It strengthens our confidence in our mission and what we have always promoted: transparency in the name of identifying and assessing the best innovations with the most potential to challenge the status quo or improve operations. While 2016 marked the beginning of our international exploration, 2017 will be the year of our acceleration. This means on-boarding new members (Yes, we are recruiting 10 people! Come join us!) and launching our operations in new countries.

Some news on the product side too:

  • We now have an in-house data analyst and R&D team!
  • PDF no more: we have developed a new web platform to improve the way our service is delivered!
  • We are launching a new “passporting” option for our ratings, which will allow decision makers to follow the rating evolution of their startup partners / investments / providers over 2-3 years.

Early Metrics’ smooth voice wakes you up on ShareRadioOur CEO Antoine was invited in the early hours of December 6th at ShareRadio studio to discuss the impact of Brexit on London fintech startups. Interviewed by host Sarah Lowther, Antoine reveals how policy could change the ecosystem following the exit vote, the trends in the fintech industry, and a little bit more!

The sharing economy: Dr Jekyll or Mister Hyde? We have all heard about the recent demise of Take Eat Easy, which has lead some to raise questions about the HyperGrowth strategy and scale-up model. But few have questioned some fundamental truths about the sharing economy overall. In his blog post, Antoine is calling a spade a spade, and revisits the definition of “sharing” and what it really means in the context of the sharing economy and current stark changes happening in the industry.

Early Metrics partners with Techinnov for a business and innovation day. As part of its mission to bring corporates and startups together, Early Metrics was invited by Techinnov and CCI Essonne to take part of the judging panel and pre-selection committee for the Pitch Challenges that will take place February 23rd, 2017. Techinnov brings together leaders in innovation and senior level executives during a one-day event with pre-planned and curated business meetings. If you’re an IoT, &Mobility or Energy startup interested in pitching, register here and see you in February!

Early Metrics at the Franco-British Business Awards – On November 30th, Early Metrics attended the 2016 Franco-British Business Awards, organized by the French Chamber of Great Britain at the May Fair Hotel in London. Invited as representatives of both the fintech community and French entrepreneurs in the UK, we were honoured to participate alongside global fintech influencer Huy Nguyen Trieu, Estelle Brachlianoff, Veolia Executive VP UK & Ireland, and Nicolas Petrovic, CEO of Eurostar, to celebrate successful businesses.

That’s a wrap for 2016! As ever, this growth would not have been possible without your support and belief in our mission. We want to thank you for following us on our journey.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and let’s have fun in 2017!
