NEWS FROM THE GROUND

You are part of our growth, that’s why each month, we want to share with you our latest news!

March rings the start of summer time, and with it, some good vibes.

Joining the Mayor of London’s delegation to promote innovation inclusiveness! Early Metrics was selected amongst 20 other scale-ups to join the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan on a trade show (26th — 31st March). Stopping in various major European capitals including Paris, Berlin, Brussels and Madrid, the trade mission is designed to help high-growth companies like Early Metrics identify business opportunities and explore partnerships in Europe. It is also signalling that UK’s capital — and its key stakeholders — are open for business despite the Brexit. We are honoured to join the Mayor to promote innovation inclusiveness and to connect the various ecosystems! While already in Paris, (our historical office!), this is also an opportunity for us to engage with senior-level tech executives, as well as with international stakeholders in Berlin, where we are expanding our pan-european operations.

Bored like a Bored Panda? Join our team! We’ve been recruiting some new team members in the past few months, and will keep growing in the next few ones! We are on the hunt for some startup explorers and colleagues, namely two VC analysts, one with an international profile, and one who will be joining our London team! We are also looking for a business developer to join our French team. If you are looking for an internship, get in touch with us as well!

Dinner at KPMG’s 20 Mayfair Club. We are not eating breakfast at Tiffany’s, but were invited last week with 9 other fintech leaders to join KPMG’s Global Fintech Leads at their Mayfair Club, to exchange on the state of fintech, and discuss with fellow entrepreneurs spearheading the transformation of the financial services. Around the table: Anne Boden, CEO of Starling Bank, Derek Mohan, CFO of Lendinvest, and Katrin Herrling, CEO of Funding Xchange. Thanks Warren Mead and Chris Higgins for the invitation!

What news in our startup world? Earlier this month, the UK Government presented its Spring Budget, with a new funding scheme for applied research. “The bet made on some specific verticals (robotics, artificial intelligence, battery innovators, etc.) allow us to foresee a new industrial focus in the UK”. Early Metrics also celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8th, and is proud to support women entrepreneurs through its partnership with Led by Her. We were also requested to participate in a Forbes interview which we will be sharing with you soon! On the startup front, we are excited to see many fellow entrepreneurs have joined the LafayettexPlug&Play second cohort in Paris, amongst which some of the most promising startups we have rated! We look forward to see them growth on our historical market!

Bonne lecture!

The Early Metrics team
