As an independent startup rating agency, we have developed a scientific methodology to reliably evaluate startups and SMEs thanks to both qualitative and quantitative metrics. Moreover, we are able to identify emerging tech trends across multiple industries.

Founded in 2014, Early Metrics now counts over 50 employees and has offices in Paris and London. We have rated over 3500 European and international startups for over 280 clients among which many CAC40 and FTSE100 companies.

Antoine Baschiera
Co-founder of Early MetricsAntoine Baschiera is the co-founder and Director General of Early Metrics. After completing a Master’s degree at AgroParisTech, he went on to hold a role as a product engineer at L’Oreal and then as a financial analyst at PwC. That’s where he met his collaborator Sébastien Paillet with whom he launched Early Metrics.
Antoine is a frequent commentator on innovation strategy, startup-corporate relationship and emerging tech trends. A keynote speaker at VivaTech, Ignite UK, and EPFL Startup, he has also been featured in Forbes, the Financial Times, CNBC and Les Echos. Currently living in France after many years spent in the UK, Italy and Spain, Antoine is a polyglot and an avid rugby player.
Sébastien Paillet
Co-founder of Early MetricsSébastien Paillet is the co-founder and President of Early Metrics. Sébastien started his career as Financial and Administrative Manager at Execo Holding. He subsequently joined the consulting firm PwC, where he was assigned missions with international clients in the transport, luxury and real estate industries. As an expert in corporate-startup collaboration, Sébastien has a strong understanding of the organisational structures of blue-chip companies, as well as the operational and strategic challenges faced by fast-growing tech companies. Sébastien supports several executive committees (CAC40, Fortune 500) in identifying their digital challenges and in transforming their operations. He is also a proud dad and marathon runner.
